Some membership plans may include age eligibility rules, meaning they are only available to users within a specific age range.
During the renewal process, the platform automatically verifies whether the member still meets the age requirement for their current plan. If the member is no longer eligible, the system automatically switches the subscription to a fallback plan before completing the renewal.
Membership plans with age restrictions must be configured with two elements:
Age limit rule: This rule defines the maximum eligible age for the membership plan.
Fallback plan: This is the plan that will automatically replace the original plan if the member exceeds the age limit. The fallback plan ensures that the subscription can continue even when the member is no longer eligible for the original plan.
Currently, these settings must be configured by the Pléthore team.
If a membership plan includes an age rule, the system verifies the member’s age at the time of renewal. Two outcomes are possible.
If the member does not exceed the age limit, the subscription continues normally.
The system proceeds with the standard renewal process and the membership plan remains unchanged.
If the member exceeds the age limit at the time of renewal, the system performs the following actions:
The subscription is automatically switched to the configured fallback plan
The renewal process continues using the new plan
This transition happens automatically and does not require any manual action from the membership team.
